Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Saga of Three Realms (the "Game"), a service provided by Kelsey Roden, doing business as Exhibyte ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Game with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your Account

• The Game does not use a separate username/password — your account is tied to your Steam account, and you sign in automatically using your existing Steam login.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Steam account linked to your account, and for all activity that occurs under it.
• One account exists per Steam account. We do not currently support merging or transferring accounts between Steam identities.

3. Basic and Premium

Every account starts on the free Basic tier, with no time limit and no payment required. Basic characters can reach level 50 and a skill level of 50 in each skill.

Premium is an optional paid subscription that removes the level limit, raises the skill limit to 100, and adds further benefits, such as priority placement in the login queue and the ability to place player houses (which use in-game house deeds and have an in-game coin upkeep). The Premium benefits currently offered are described on our Product & Pricing page.

If your Premium subscription ends (for example, because you cancelled and your paid period ran out, or a renewal payment failed), your account returns to Basic. Your characters and progress are not deleted, but a character above the Basic level or skill limits cannot be logged into until you subscribe again. Player houses you have placed are removed after a 3-day grace period unless Premium is restored within that time. Moving out of a house before then returns its in-game house deed; if a house is removed at the end of the grace period, its decorations are returned but the deed is not.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Premium is offered on a recurring subscription basis, billed monthly or yearly as selected when you subscribe.
• Premium is purchased inside the Game through Steam. All payments are processed by Valve Corporation through Steam, using your Steam Wallet or another payment method Steam accepts, and are also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Steam handles billing, receipts, payment details, and applicable sales tax/VAT.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You authorize recurring charges through Steam for each renewal.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time in Steam (Account Details → Subscriptions). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Premium through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
• Premium becomes active in the Game as soon as Steam confirms your payment.
• We may change subscription pricing from time to time. A price change never raises the price of an existing subscription; it applies to new subscriptions only.
• Refunds can be requested within 48 hours of a subscription charge; see our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

While using the Game, you agree not to:

• Use cheats, bots, exploits, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our servers or other players' accounts;
• Use the Game for any illegal purpose, or in violation of Steam's own terms of service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Game, including its software, art, music, and world content, is owned by Kelsey Roden, doing business as Exhibyte, and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play the Game for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

7. Service Availability

The Game is played online and requires a connection to our servers to play. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance, updates, or downtime as needed. We do not guarantee the Game will be available indefinitely.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Game at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Game for violation of these Terms or Section 5 above.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" above. Continued use of the Game after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
